Jump Crypto has announced a $1 million bug bounty program for identifying vulnerabilities in Solana’s Firedancer validator client.

Jump Crypto, in collaboration with security platform Immunefi, has launched a bug bounty program aimed at identifying vulnerabilities in Solana’s new high-performance validator client, Firedancer. This initiative offers developers rewards totaling up to $1 million for discovering bugs in the Firedancer client, which is written in C++ and has been under development since 2022.

The primary objectives of Firedancer are to enhance Solana’s network throughput, resilience, and efficiency. The bug bounty program spans from July 10 to August 21 and is structured as a 42-day competitive audit. Immunefi, managing the program, commits to responding to all bug reports within 24 hours on weekdays during the audit period. Technical inquiries can be directed to Immunefi’s Discord channel, ensuring prompt communication and collaboration.

At the conclusion of the audit, Immunefi plans to publish an event-specific leaderboard and detailed bug reports. The program aims to bolster the security and reliability of Firedancer, addressing critical aspects of Solana’s operational integrity.
